After a long talk with Adrian, Chloe felt oddly better. Strangely enough Adrian asked for Chloe's permission to ask Chris out on a date. At first she was extremly jealous. Then she thought of Chris acusing her of playing games. She imediatly told Adrian she didn't care. She did a little, of course. She wrote the whole day down in her diary, and then tried to forget about it. When she left her room Johnnie was in the living room.
"Hey." She said.
"Hey." He replied, not looking up from his drawing.
"What's up?" She asked. He just shrugged. She sighed and decided to go for a walk. She desperatly wished Lisa was home.

"I don't know." Lisa said, in repsonge to Tucker asking her what she wanted to be when she grew up. They were laying on his bed and she was tracing the lines on his hand with her finger.
"What do you mean you don't know?" He asked. "I thought you were goinng to be a singer."
"Yeah. But I'm not that good." She said.
"What are you talking about, you're awesome. You're singing in Rent, right?" Lisa just sighed.
"Everyone is so much better at it then me. I suck at the whole stage thing."
"I don't believe it." He said. Lisa shifted her weight. She was uncomfortable laying down in the jeans she had on.
"I don't know. I'm starting to have my doubts about the whole thing."
"I thought you told me it was your friend Chloe's job to worry." He said. Lisa smiled.
"Yeah. I guess I did say that, didn't I?" She asked. Tucker just nodded.

Chris had been walking for blocks. His eyes were watery, but he was more angry then sad. He stopped to sit on a bench and pulled out a picture from his wallet. It was his senior prop picture with Chloe. The stood under a banner that said, "American's Sweethearts". Yeah right. He thought. He traced his finger over Chloe's face. She was wearing a deep blue satin dress. It made her eyes pop. He remembered the texture, and the smell of her perfume. Was this really what growing up was all about? Losing the love or your life. Being miserable, and hating one of your best friends. He shook his head and sighed. No more self-pity. He had to get over this.

Johnnie sat in the living room sketching. He could hear Chloe sighing in her room. He was shocked to see her and Adrian talking in the living room when he got home. Adrian left soon after and Chloe went back to her room. Shortly after he started drawing, Chloe came back out. He was so into his drawing he bearly registered that she spoke to him. After she left he put his drawing down and sighed. He had struck out AGAIN walking down the art district. Maybe he was taking the wrong approach to this, he thought. Just then he got an idea. He jumped up and walked next door.

"Someone is knocking on your door." Lisa told Tucker. He had been staring at her, and hadn't even heard. He smiled and got up to answer the door.
"Oh, hi Johnnie." Lisa heard Tucker say. She got up to go see what Johnnie wanted.

"Do you need any artwork for your band?" Johnnie asked.
"Um-" Tucker stumbled, caught of guard. Johnnie shook his head, realizing he wasn't coming across very clearly.
"I need to get my artwork out there. This walking up and down the art district just isn't cutting it." He said. "I was thinking maybe I could do artwork for your fliers, posters, and stuff. Sign my name on it, get some publicity."
Tucker thought about it for a moment. Lisa looked at Johnnie, and just smiled at him.
"Yeah, sure. Let me talk to everyone when they get home. I'm sure they would like the idea." He said.
"Aren't you going to be late for work?" Lisa asked Tucker, noticing the clock behind him on the wall.
"Nah, I'll be fine. My uncle own's the place, remember?" He asked. Lisa just smiled at him.

After Tucker left Lisa and Johnnie went back to their apartment.
"Good idea." Lisa said, and gently elbowed him.
"Thanks." He said. "Where is everyone anyway?"
"Sulking, probably." She answered.
"What do you mean?" He asked. She looked at him like he should already know the answer.
"Again?" He asked, and shook his head.
"Eventually they'll both move on." She said.
"Wait, both?" He asked.
"Don't ask. Let's talk about something else." Lisa said, smirking when she thought about Chloe shouting, "I want to DO him!"

Chloe hear thunder and decided she should head back home. The last thing she wanted was to be caught out in a storm. Oh, how she HATED storms. When the thunder boomed again she was running home.

"What are ya looking at?" Chris heard someone ask. He looked up and Adrian was standing there. He quickly put the picture in his back pocket.
"Nothing." He said, and smiled. She smiled back, and he felt himself blush.
"Want to walk me back home? It looks like it might rain." She said. She was also holding two bags of groceries.
"Sure." He said, and took a bag from her.
