Chris woke up confused. He looked over at Chloe. He rubbed his eyes and sat up. "What a dream." He said out loud to himself. After a few minutes, all he could remember from his dream was that he was on his honeymoon. He and Chloe had just gotten married and they were fifty years old. He stood up and laughed. He picked up his novel that he had written about Chloe. He thought about the first time he saw her. His face turned red just thinking about it. He went out to the balcony and sat down with his story on his lap. He slouched down in the chair and leaned his head back. He closed his eyes and smiled as he pictured that first time he saw Chloe.
He had finally found his locker after twenty minutes of searching. He looked around at all the people walking by, chatting and goofing around. He turned back towards his locker and tried to open it with the combination he was provided with. He tried numerous times and couldn't get it to open. He kicked it.
"Um." He heard a low voice say. "That's my locker. . ."

He turned around. She was beautiful. Her long brown wavy hair was flawless. She was wearing a short jean skirt with holes in it and a tight, very short 'Iron Maiden' shirt. Her belly button was pierced with a black diamond.

"Seriously..." She said. She smiled and looked down at the floor.
Chris laughed nervously. He looked up at the number on the locker. "Yeah." He said. "Sorry."
He scooted down to the locker to the left. "Mine." He said pointing.

Chloe just nodded. She opened her locker quickly, placed three books into it, closed it and walked away.

"Hey, Chris." Piper, his sister said. "How has your first half hour of high school been?"
"Well, I made a fool out of myself in front of the girl of my dreams." He said.
Piper laughed. "Freshman." She said.

Chris rolled his eyes and made his way through the crowds to find his first class. He was glad it didn't take him long to find it. He walked into the classroom. "Shit." He said softly to himself. There she was. She was sitting in the front row with headphones on. She was mouthing the words to the music.

Chris sat up and laughed as Chloe stepped outside.
"Remember the first time you saw me?" He asked.
"Sure do." She said. "You were the weird kid beating the shit out of my locker."
Chris laughed.
"We didn't even talk till a year later when we ended up in the same lab group in chemistry." She giggled.
"We were both very quiet." He said.
"I was shy and hated the world." She said.
"I was just a dufus." He said.
She giggled. "Big time."

Chloe looked down at the novel on Chris' lap.
"Ever gonna let me read that?" She asked.
"Once it's published." He said. "Until then, not a chance."

"Fine. I'm not going to ask you again." She said and giggled.
"Good." He said, setting on the floor next to him. Chloe took the hint and sat down hon his lap, resting her head on his sholder. She felt him sniff her hair.
"Why do you always smell so good?" He asked.
"Why do you always smell so bad?" She quiped. "OW!" She shouted when he pinched her. They both laughed when she punched his shoulder and hurt herself.
"I remember the first time you talked you talked to me in chemestry." she said.
"What did I say?" He asked.
"Can I double check your notes, I think you wrote that down wrong." Chloe said, and scowled up at Chris.
"Oh yeah. Dufus." He said, and sighed. "Remember when I asked you to the dance?"
"Yeah. You were so pale I thought you were going to puke. I offered to walk to you the nurse, and on the way you asked. And then imediatly ran to the bathroom to puke." She replied, laughing histaricaly.
"One of my best memories." Chris said, and squeezed her. "Can we hang out today? Just the two of us?" Chris asked. "No funny business, I promise. I just wouldn't mind hanging out with just you. as FRIENDS." He emphasised, and instantly felt Chloe relax.
"Sure." she said, and smiled at him. Shortly after the got up and went to the park.

"Hey, where's Chloe and Chris?" Lisa asked, yawning. Johnny was in the kitchen making a bowl of cereal.
"I don't know, they were gone when I woke up." He said. Lisa shrugged and opened the fridge to hand Johnny the milk.
"Any plans today?" he asked her.
"Not really. I'm sure I'm supposed to practice or something." she said. Johnny didn't miss her scowel when she said that.
"What's wrong?" He asked her.
"Nothing." She said and smiled at him. "It's just a lot of work. And I'm scared shitless. What if I freeze up there?"
"You wont." He said, and took a bite of cereal. Milk dripped down his chin and Lisa scoweled.
"Gross!" She said, and he laughed.
"Hey, I'm sorry." He said, whiping his chin.
"It's just milk, and you being a slob." She said and laughed.
"No. I mean about-"
"Don't worry about it." She said, cutting him off. She was done thinking about him with chloe.

"STOP!" Chloe said, pulling out of Chris' reach. He was chasing her around the swings. Once he finaly caught her they both fell to the ground laughing.
"You're going to scare the kids if you keep screaming." He said.
"ME!" Chloe shouted. She kicked his shin, and took off running again. Chris chased after her, and then tripped over a rock, slamming his elbow into the hard ground.
"SHIT!" He shouted. He was bleeding. Chloe stopped and ran back to him.
"Are you okay?" She asked, kneeling down next to him.
"Yeah. It's just a scrape." He said.
"Come on, lets go clean it out." She said, and they walked home.

"There you guys are." Lisa said when they walked in. Her and Johnny were cleaning the kitchen.
"Yeah, we went to the park." Chloe told him.
"What happened?" Lisa asked, seeing Chis and his bloddy shirt.
"Nothing, I just skinned my elbow." He said.
"You always were clumsy." Lisa said. Chloe walked Chris to the bathroom where he sat down on the toilet seat. Chloe pulled out the first aid kit and some peroxide. She put some on a cotton ball and put on Chris' cut. He winced.
"Sorry." She said, and smiled.
"Don't worry about it. You were always cleaning up my wounds." He said, and winced again. Chloe put a bandaid on him.
"There you go, all done." She said.
"Remember the first dance we went to?" He asked.
"I could I forget it!" She told him. "You broke your leg!"

Sarah said...

"Damn glass sculptures." He laughed. "Who's idea were those anyway?"

Chloe giggled and shook her head.

"So, what happen to being a bad girl?" Chris asked her as he stood up.
"That part of me is still there." She replied. "Trust me."
He took a step closer to her. They were just inches from eachother. "Prove it." He whispered.

Chloe wanted nothing more than to kiss Chris at that moment. She pictured him grabbing her roughly and sitting her on the bathroom counter. Her, locking her legs around him and tearing his shirt off. "Chloe?" Chris whispered, interupting her thoughts.

"I. . ." was all she could say. He smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her right ear. He swallowed hard, then took a deep breath.
"You what?" He asked clearing his throat.
She fought the urge and stepped back. She just shook her head biting her bottom lip.

"You're nervous." He said, as he noticed he biting her bottom lip.
"I'm not nervous, Chris." She lied as her heart started to beat a little faster. "I'm gonna go see what Lisa is up to." She said. She turned around and Chris grabbed her arm, pulling her close to him again.
"Chris." She said. "No."
He nodded and let go of her arm. She started to walk out of the bathroom again, but hesitated. "Will power." She said softly to herself. "Will power."

"I'm heading out, guys!" Lisa shouted.
"Wait!" Chloe shouted back as she ran to the living room.

"What?" Lisa asked, turning around.
"Can I talk to you?" Chloe whispered. Lisa raised one eyebrow.
"About what?" She asked. Chloe nodded her head towards the bathroom. Lisa sighed, and giggled.
"Sure, but make it fast. I was hoping to cach Tucker before he goes to work." Lisa said, and they both stepped outside.
"What's up with Chris now?" She asked.
"Nothing. Well, I just got the urge to tare his clothes off!" Chloe replyed. Lisa laughed.
"What? I thought he was the one in love with you!" She said.
"I didn't say I was in love with him. I just wanted to DO him!" Chloe shouted. Lisa laughed even harder.
"What is so funny?" She asked Lisa.
"The old lady down they hall was just stepping outside. She slammed the door shut and closed the curtains when you yelled that." Lisa explained, laughing even harder. Chloe frowned, and then blushed.
"You can sleep with him and expect him to not think you guys are getting back together." Lisa said.
"I know. But where did it come from?" She asked.
"It just means you are still atracted to him." Lisa said. "No big deal." She told her.
"Do you really have to go?" Chloe asked. "I'm afraid to go back in there with Chris."
"Johnny will be back in like an hour." Lisa said.
"I thought he was inside."
"He left when you and Chris were in the bathroom. I think he went to go draw or something." Lisa said. Chloe could tell she really wanted to go see Tucker, and gave up.
"Go, have fun. I'll be fine." Chloe reluctantly said.
"Thanks." Lisa said, and hugged her. Chloe went back inside.
"Where is everyone?" Chris asked. Chloe just shrugged. Chris was smurking. She was hoping it had nothing to do with the fact that she was so close to kissing him a few minites ago. Well, more then kissing, she thought and shook her head.
They both stood there awkwardly for a moment. Chloe's heart kept racing, and she tried to will it to slow down. Then she felt herself blush. Chris chuckled, and Chloe scowled at him.
"What is so funny?" She asked him.
"Nothing." He said.
"WHAT?" She demanded, trying not to smile. She wanted him to think she was mad.
"You are just so darn cute." Was all he said.
"That is not why you are laughing. What do you think is so funny?" She asked.
"You said you want to do me." He said, and burst into laughter.
"DID NOT!" She ahouted.
"Did too! These walls are thin Chloe." He said. He smiled as she blushed even brighter red.

Chloe just rolled her eyes.
"You still want to do me?" He asked.
"Nope." She lied.
"Chloe?" He asked.
"I don't." She said. "Im gonna take a bath."

Chris laughed as he watched her storm away. "Mind if I join you?" He asked.
"Hell no you're not taking a bath with me!" She shouted. She was trying to sound angry, but it wasn't working.
"How about a shower?" He asked.
"Stop." She said. "The moment has passed. It's not happening."
He slipped his shirt off over his head and tossed it.
"Now?" He asked.

Chloe tried not to laugh and ignored him. She went into the bathroom and turned the water on. She poured a ton of bubbles into the running water.
"How about now?" She heard Chris say from behind her. She was afraid to even look. She caught a glimpse of his toned chest in the mirror. She closed her eyes. "I said, no." She replied.
"But you didn't look, babe." He said, sounding more serious now. He placed his hands on her shoulders. It seemed to her that she had never wanted him more, although she doubted that was fact. He started rubbing her shoulders.

"Come on, Chlo." Chris said.
Chloe didn't answer. She just stood there watching the tub fill up and the bubbles get higher.
"Fine." He said, very irritated. "Im through with your games, Chloe." He stormed out of the bathroom.

"MY games!" Chloe shouted, almost in tears.

Christina said...

"No one else is playing games!" He shouted. She followed him out to the living room.
"I'm NOT playing games! I'm the one trying to avoid this! I never came on to you!" She shouted.
"You just said you wanted to 'do me'." He said.
"I don't want to cause any problems or make anything more confusing for YOU!" She said, and stormed back to the bathroom.
"Whatever." Chris said, and left. Chloe undressed and climbed in the bathtub. She heard Chris arguing with someone outside. The walls really are thin, she thought, and sighed. They had had such a beautiful time this morning. What happened? She tried to shake the thought away and relax in her bath. It wasn't working, so she climbed out, dried off and got dressed. When she opened the door, Chris was sitting in the hall way.
"I'm sorry." He said. Chloe just rolled her eyes and walked past him.
"I mean it." He said. "You're right. I just got excited. The thought that you still think I'm attractive just got me excited." He said, following her to the living room.
"I just don't want to make things weird." She said.
"I know."
"Who were you arguing with outside?" She asked. Chris sighed.
"Lisa." He said.
"Did she make you come in here and apologize?"
"No. Look, I gotta get out of here for a little while. Before I do something else stupid."
"It wasn't stupid." She said. He looked up at her.
"Yes it was."
"Well, then it was stupid of both of us." She said. He had the depressed pouty look again.
"I'm going to go for a walk." He said, and left. Chloe sighed and sat down on the floor. Just then there was a knock on the door.
"Come in." She said. Adrian walked in. Oh, great. She thought.
