Chloe and Lisa finished their food first and decided to walk next door to the suvineer shop.

"Did you guys sleep better this time?" Johnny asked Chris as soon as Chloe and Lisa were out of sight.
Chris sighed. "I slept a little better. . ."
"You gotta get over that whole thing, man." Johnny told him.
"I don't wanna talk about this right now." Chris said.
"Alright, I'll back off. But I thikn you really need to get over it." Johnny said. "I'm gonna take a piss and grab a soda at the gas station."
Chris nodded.
"We'll meet back up in the gift shop." Johnny said.
"Alright." Chris said.

"I'll be right back. I'm gonna run to the gas station." Lisa told Chloe.
"Why?" Chloe asked.
"I'm gonna grab some waters for us." Lisa told her.
"Okay. Get me a big one. I'll get both of us one of these windchimes." Chloe said.
"Cool. Get me the dolphins." Lisa said smiling as she walked out the door.

Lisa ran accross the street to the gas station and up to the front counter.
"Can I help you ma'am?" The guy behind the counter asked.
Lisa looked around quickly. "Can I get a pack of ultra-light virginia slims?" She whispered.
The guy laughed. "We don't have those." He said.
"Shit." She said to herself. She rolled her eyes. "Marlboro lights then." She whispered as she pulled a ten dollar bill out of her back pocket.
He gave her a strange look. Probably because she was whispering.
"I.D. please." He said.
"Are you kidding me?" She asked.
"No, ma'am I'm not." He said.
"Why don't you go fuck yourself?" She said. "Fuck!"
She didn't even have her purse on her, let alone an I.D. She ran back across the street to the car. She was so out of breath! She snuck into the car, grabbed her purse and ran back across the street.
"Marlboro lights, please!" She said, holding out her lisence.
The guy just stared at her.
"Look, I am traveling." She said with anger. "I will be stuck in a car for six more hours. I am going insane. I need a fucking cigarette."
She set her ten dollar bill down on the counter. Without saying anything, he checked her I.D., gave her the pack of cigarettes and set her change down on the counter.
"Thank you." She said. "Geez."
She stuffed the money back in her back pocket and walked over to the side of the gas station. She sat down and lit up a cigarette.

"Lisa? Lisa, what the fuck." Johnny said walking up to her.
She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. She put the cigarette in her mouth.
"Wait." Johnny said.
She took the cigarette out of her mouth. Johnny sat down next to her.
"What?" She asked rudely.
"Don't do it." Johnny said.
She leaned back up against the building.
"Stand up, walk away and pretend you didn't see me." She said irritated.
"So much for changes, hu?" He said standing up. He walked back to the car. Chloe and Chris were sitting on the curb next to the car waiting.

"Where's Lisa?" Chris asked. He stood up, then helped Chloe up.
"You don't wanna know." Johnny said.
The three of them got in the car. It was silent, until Lisa flung the car door open, sat down and slammed the door shut.

They all looked at her. "I didn't do it!" She shouted. "Just fucking drive."
"You didn't get any water?" Chloe asked.
"She bought cigarettes." Johnny said.
"I didn't fucking smoke. Just fucking drive. Get me to fucking L.A." She said.
"Whoa, settle down." Chris said.
"If you want me to settle down, Chris. Then tell Johnny to fucking drive." Lisa said.

"Wow. Smoke free Lisa is iritable." Chloe laughed.
"Not funny." Lisa said. "Not funny at all."

Christina said...

"Whoa, sorry." Chloe said.
"Just give me your stupid MP3 player!" Lisa said, and snatched it from Chloe. She put the head phones on, turned it all the way up, and leaned back closing her eyes.
"Oops." Chloe said, and Chris laughed. It was still Johnny's turn to drive the next few hours, so she was stuck in the back with Lisa.

"Don't give her too hard of a time. We all have bad habbits." Johnny said.
"Oh yeah, is yours as bad as smoking?" Chloe asked.
"I'm not telling." Johnny said, looking at her in the rearview mirror. He thought she was pretty, but he always thought Lisa was far prettier, which is the opposite of what most people thought. He had never told anyone though. Nor would he...Unlike Chloe and Chris, he wasn't about to let a relationship ruin their friendship.

"And on we drive." Chris said.
